Good news: The Fault in Our Stars will be made into a movie. Bad news: It’s being adapted by the same company who produced Twilight and Eragon.

Oh my goodness I don’t want them to ruin it and I’m so scared that they will that I almost don’t want this to ever end up on a screen why can’t it just stay between its perfect hardcover binder where it belongs I have no idea what my emotions are doing to me right now I’m sorry guys

:O IT’S BEING MADE INTO A MOVIE?! Or is it like Paper Towns with the movie rights already taken?

So many emotions. If they screw up this movie Nerdfighteria will be after them. Seriously, they cannot mess this up. And if you think about it, in writing the words are so poetic and beautiful, but on screen will it have those same qualities? French the Llama Hazel and Augustus are just perfect. I just want this movie to be flawless, but “the world is not a wish granting factory.”

To clarify: Movie rights were sold, but this doesn’t guarantee a movie. I can think of dozens of books that have had their rights sold and only a small fraction that became movies. Start to freak out when casting begins and a script exists, which it does not as far as I know.
